This product describes the similarities and differences between two sets of United Nations (UN) guidelines for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions: the United Nations System of Environmental-Economic Accounts (SEEA) and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Statistics Canada's Greenhouse Gas Account is compiled based on the SEEA guidelines, while the National GHG Inventory is prepared by Environment and Climate Change Canada in accordance with the UNFCCC.

This product includes many safeguards to prevent the identification of any one person or household.

The 2022 MHACS is a repeat of the 2012 Canadian Community Health Survey on Mental Health (CCHS-Mental Health). In contrast to the 2002 and 2012 iterations of the CCHS-Mental Health, which were administered in-person, the 2022 MHACS was administered by computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Description: The public use microdata file (PUMF) from the Canadian Health Survey on Seniors (CHSS) provides data at the provincial level. Over the two-year period, data were collected from approximately 42,000 respondents aged 65 or older, residing in households in all provinces.

The file includes information on a wide range of topics, including oral health, care receiving, community service use, access to health care services, vaccines, smoking, alcohol consumption, general health, chronic health conditions and provides information on the socio-demographic characteristics of the population.

Over the two year period, data are based on interviews with approximately 130,000 respondents aged 12 or older, residing in households in all provinces and territories.

The files include information on a wide range of topics, including: physical activity, height and weight, smoking, exposure to second hand smoke, alcohol consumption, general health, chronic health conditions, injuries, and use of health care services. It also provides information on the socio-demographic, income and labour force characteristics of the population.

The files include information on how individuals use and access the Internet,  including their intensity of use, demand for certain online activities, and interactions through these technologies. The Census Program Data Viewer (CPDV) is a new advanced web-based data visualization tool that will make statistical information more interpretable by presenting key indicators in a statistical dashboard. The CPDV makes it easy to find many places in Canada, see them on a map, and get basic geographic and sociodemographic data for those places. To find a specific place of interest, you can click and zoom in on a map of Canada or you can search by place name or postal code. The CPDV displays the appropriate thematic map showing boundaries and other features. The CPDV will also enable users to easily compare indicator values for different places and help identify relationships between indicators.

This dashboard presents selected health indicators for the Canadian population living in the ten provinces related to the COVID-19 pandemic. It includes estimates of the population aged 12 and older, by region and province, age group and gender. The indicators of health included show how Canadians rate their current mental health compared to before the pandemic - worse, the same, or better. It also shows what percentage of Canadians reported taking various precautions to protect against COVID-19, what percentage indicated having received a test for COVID, as well as the rate of those somewhat or very likely to get a vaccine. The data for this dashboard are based on the Canadian Community Health Survey, a annual population health survey that was adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic to produce more timely estimates with new content related to the evolving situation. Estimates in this dashboard are presented beginning from September 2020 and will be updated with each completed collection period available from the survey.
