Correction notice

Correction date: August 13, 2021

On August 13, 2021, all estimates for the September 2020, October 2020, and November to December 2020 collection periods were corrected for the age groups ‘50 to 64 years’ and ‘Total, 12 years and over’ due to a correction to the weighting calibration process.

This visualization is based on the data published in the table of the Canadian Community Health Survey: Table 13-10-0806-01 Canadians health and COVID-19, by age and gender, monthly estimates.

The collection for the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) in 2020 was halted during the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of March and restarted in September. Monthly data for 2020 is planned to be collected during three periods — September 1st to September 30th, October 1st to November 4th, and November 5th to December 12th— with the data from these periods being tabulated by region, age group, and sex in the table 13-10-0806-01.

How to use this application

This visualization gives users the option of looking at the data for the indicators they choose for all the collection periods in a time series, or by collection period in a series of bar charts with indicators grouped by theme. Users can change between levels of geography (region or province), age group, or gender using the drop down boxes at the top of this report.
