A thematic map shows the spatial distribution of one or more specific data themes for standard geographic areas. The map may be qualitative in nature (e.g., predominant farm types) or quantitative (e.g., cropped area change).

These few maps use the census divisions geographic level to give a partial overview of the content of the Census of Agriculture themes. For a dynamic and more complete consultation of these themes, please consult Census of Agriculture: Mapping Tool.

The chosen mapped themes are the most common or of most interest, and are organized by category:

Characteristics of farm operators

Land use, land tenure and management practices

Crops - Hay and field crops, vegetables (excluding greenhouse vegetables), fruits, berries and nuts, greenhouse products and other crops
