In particular, the study deals with the adoption or retention of a minority official language in Canada—i.e., English in Quebec and French in the other provinces and territories—as the language spoken most often at home. The study is based on data from the linkage between the Postsecondary Student Information System and the 2021 Census of Population, as well as information from the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials.
