Both the ozone and PM2.5 indicators are population weighted estimates of average concentrations of these pollutants observed by monitoring stations across Canada. Statistics Canada calculates the indicators based on monitoring data provided by Environment Canada's National Air Pollution Surveillance (NAPS) network.
