Data
The data used to create this interactive web application is from the following listed data table:
Additional information
For more information on how to use this tool, consult the guide “How to use” available on this page (top right).
Totals may not add due to rounding. Thus, the subtotals presented in this interactive table may be slightly different (a few decimal places) from the estimates published in the source table on the Statistics Canada website.
Imports
The import values of merchandise are recorded at the province of clearance and may not be the same as the province of final destination. For example, imports cleared in Ontario may be destined to other provinces.
Trading partners
Certain trading partners may not be visible in the interactive map. That trade activity, however, will be reflected in the data table located to the right of the map.
“Unknown partners” is a category which represent the trade values that cannot be assigned to a specific country, or, in the case of trade with the United States, to a particular state. For example, trade in environmental and clean technology services with the United States is not available by state. This category is not visible in the map but is reflected in the data table.
