Description: On November 30, Statistics Canada will be releasing the seventh set of results from the 2021 Census of Population.

This release will focus on: education in Canada; the changing dynamics of the Canadian labour force and how people get to work; and instruction in the minority official language.

The census webinar will provide you with key information including: concepts and definitions; high-level national, provincial, and territorial findings; and instructions on how to access data products and resources online. 

Following the presentation, Statistics Canada officials will be available to answer questions.

Available approximately one month after the official day of release, they present information highlights via key indicators such as 2006 counts, percentage change (1996 to 2006, 2001 to 2006) and percent distribution (2006, 2001, 1996) for various levels of geography. The tables also allow users to perform simple rank and sort functions.

Description: Active commuting (AC) to and from work is associated with numerous health benefits, through increased physical activity. This study examined whether occupation types and part-time work, by sex, were associated with AC in a population-based sample of Canadian workers. This study examined the associations between occupational classifications, part-time work, and AC (i.e., walking, cycling) and public transit use, in a nationally representative sample of Canadian adults, while controlling for other relevant sociodemographic characteristics (e.g., education, income, urbanity).
