    Description: The article examines the prevalence of having a regular health care provider (RHCP) among the seven largest racialized groups in Canada. Specifically, using data from the 2024 Canadian Community Health Survey, the article shows how the proportion of people who have an RHCP differs between and within the racialized populations and the non-racialized and non-Indigenous population and varies across racialized groups based on demographic characteristics, such as gender, age, immigrant status, immigration period and provincial region.

    Description: The public use microdata file (PUMF) from the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) provides data for health regions and combinations of health regions across Canada. Over the two year period, data are based on interviews with approximately 130,000 respondents aged 12 or older, residing in households in all provinces and territories.

    The files include information on a wide range of topics, including: physical activity, height and weight, smoking, exposure to second hand smoke, alcohol consumption, general health, chronic health conditions, injuries, and use of health care services. It also provides information on the socio-demographic, income and labour force characteristics of the population.

    Description: Robust surveillance of vaping product use (with or without nicotine) in Canada has been limited by use of multiple tools with varying designs and content. The objective of the current study was to examine trends over time in vaping prevalence and to examine associated factors, using data from the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS). Trends in the prevalence of past-30-day vaping over time were examined using data available from optional modules of the CCHS, for Ontario from 2015 to 2018, and for Quebec from 2017 to 2019.
