Zero-emission vehicles in Quebec, first half of 2020

Zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) have continued to grow in popularity. See how this market is gaining traction in Quebec!

  • 8.0% of new vehicles registered in Montréal were ZEVs, compared with 5.2% in Québec City for the first half of 2020.

10,378 new zero-emission vehicles were registered in Quebec in the first two quarters of 2020. This represents 6.8% of total new vehicle registrations in the province.

Note: Zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) are battery-electric vehicles (BEV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) that have the potential to produce no tailpipe emissions.
