A computer algorithm for joint probabilities of selection (Systematic PPS sampling)
Articles and reports: 12-001-X197500100002Description: In 1962, Hartley and Rao derived an asymptotic formula for the joint probability selection for samples selected with unequal probability sampling. In 1966, Connor, derived an exact formula for this joint probability, however, his formulae were very involved. In the present paper the authors, using a modification of Connor's formula derive the exact joint probabilities using a specially designed computer algorithm.
