New data on geographic mobility of Canadian bachelor's degree graduates, 2012 to 2021
Released: 2025-06-17
Today, Statistics Canada is releasing new data on the geographic mobility of Canadian bachelor's degree graduates. This release examines the movement of graduates between their place of residence prior to their studies, their place of study and their place of residence one year after graduation.
This release includes three new data tables (37-10-0289, 37-10-0290 and 37-10-0291), an analytical article and a technical reference guide.
The data used for the calculation of the mobility indicators are derived from the Postsecondary Student Information System integrated with the T1 Family File. The analysis covers graduating cohorts from 2012 to 2021.
