Today, Statistics Canada is releasing the document Health Region Peer Groups – Working paper, 2023. This paper presents the classification of the 2023 health regions into peer groups based on similar socioeconomic determinants of health. The purpose of this paper is to define the concept of health region peer groups, to provide an overview of how they are created, and to demonstrate their usefulness.
