  Note to readers

The data presented in tables "Dental insurance coverage and dental visits, by age group and gender," (13-10-0877-01) and "Dental insurance coverage and dental visits, by adjusted family net income quintile," (13-10-0878-01) are based on the 2022 cycle of the Canadian Community Health Survey, collected from February 9 to December 31, 2022. The sample is representative of the Canadian population aged 12 years and older living in the 10 provinces.

Each of the two tables presents the number and percentage of Canadians who had visited a dental professional within the previous 12 months, as well as those with or without dental insurance. For those who have insurance, a breakdown presents those with public and private plans separately. One of the two tables presents results by province, age group and gender. The second table presents results by province and income quintiles.
