New Data Visualization on Youth in Canada

A new Statistics Canada data visualization product allows users to customize the most recent data on youth to get more detailed information on various important aspects of their lives, including their mental and physical health, labour market participation, education, social participation, and concerns for the environment.

Portrait of Youth in Canada: Data Visualization Tool includes a wide range of data on the population of youth aged 15 to 34 years in terms of geography, age, and sex. Put together, these data sources help examine how Canadian youth are doing. The platform also has links to other relevant documents and publications.

This work is part of a larger collaboration with the Federal Youth Secretariat at Canadian Heritage to create greater awareness of the state of youth in Canada. A list of priority themes and indicators was developed in consultation with youth and stakeholders.
