Today, Statistics Canada is releasing 10 historical data tables that provide information on the first official language spoken in Canada and its provinces and territories, knowledge of official languages in Canada and its provinces and territories, use of English and French at work in Quebec and use of French outside Quebec by justice workers in 2001 to 2016 and arts and culture workers in 2011 and 2016. These data are based on the 2001, 2006 and 2016 Censuses of Population and the 2011 National Household Survey.
