The Juristat article "Victims of police-reported violent crime in Canada: National, provincial and territorial fact sheets, 2016" presents statistics from the Uniform Crime Reporting Survey on the number of police-reported victims of violent crime, the types of crime experienced, as well as victim characteristics for each province and territory.
In addition, several indicators on the delivery of victim services in each jurisdiction are presented. This information was collected directly from the provinces and territories through the new Canadian Victim Services Indicators survey, a pilot survey of all provincial and territorial victim services directorates.
