The public use microdata file for the 2015 General Social Survey (GSS) is now available.
The main objective of the 2015 GSS on Time Use was to collect information on day-to-day activities performed by people in order to estimate the unpaid work and to measure gender equality or inequality in diverse spheres of society. The survey covered individuals aged 15 years and older living in private households in the 10 provinces.
The initial results from the 2015 GSS on Time Use were released in The Daily on June 1, 2017.
Data from the 2015 GSS were featured in the study, "Changes in parents' participation in domestic tasks and care for children from 1986 to 2015", part of the publication Spotlight on Canadians: Results from the General Social Survey (). 89-652-X
