The public use microdata file for the 2012 Survey of Financial Security (SFS) is now available upon request. This public use microdata file contains data for a wide variety of variables collected from the 2012 SFS.
Note to readers
The Survey of Financial Security (SFS) is a national survey of the wealth of Canadian families, providing information on what families own (assets) and what they owe (debts). The file is produced at the economic family level with information on assets, debts and net worth, income, housing and family demographics.
The initial results from the 2012 SFS were released in The Daily on February 25, 2014.
