Canadian Health Measures Survey: Laboratory environmental data, 2009 to 2011

Laboratory environmental data from cycle 2 of the Canadian Health Measures Survey are now available, including data on metals and trace elements, chlorophenols, environmental phenols and triclocarban, cotinine, perfluoroalkyl substances, pesticides, phthalate metabolites and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

The publication Canadian Health Measures Survey: Cycle 2 Data Tables, 2009 to 2011 (Catalogue number82-626-X), is now available from the Browse by key resource module of our website under Publications. Tables 57 to 70 have been added as part of this release. The Health Canada publication Second Report on Human Biomonitoring of Environmental Chemicals in Canada provides tables on all laboratory environmental measures in blood and urine.

The following Health Fact Sheets (Catalogue number82-625-X) are also available: "Bisphenol A concentrations in Canadians, 2009 to 2011" and "Blood lead concentrations in Canadians, 2009 to 2011."

The study "Prevalence of Chlamydia trachomatis and herpes simplex virus type 2: Results from the 2009 to 2011 Canadian Health Measures Survey" is now available in Health Reports, Vol. 24, no. 4 (Catalogue number82-003-X), from the Browse by key resource module of our website under Publications.

With today's release of the cycle 2 laboratory environmental data, weight files and documentation are now available for combining select cycle 1 and 2 laboratory environmental subsample data files. This represents an update to the documentation released on March 1.
