The Canadian Income Survey (CIS) is a cross-sectional survey developed to provide a portrait of the income and income sources of Canadians, with their individual and household characteristics. The CIS identifies persons with disabilities using the Disability Screening Questions, which are based on the social model of disability, and were asked of one randomly selected household member aged 16 years and older.
