Two new datasets from the Canadian Community Health Survey – Annual Component are now available. These datasets cover data collected from all respondents aged 12 years and older from all provinces, including respondents from the Canadian Health Survey on Seniors (CHSS) oversample.
The COVID-19 pandemic impacted data collection operations for the Canadian Community Health Survey in 2020. Collection was stopped mid-March, toward the end of the first collection period, and did not resume until September. The previously released 2020 sub-annual files and analysis did not include respondents from the CHSS oversample. Of the two new files released today, one file covers data collected from January to March 2020, and the second file covers data collected from September to December 2020.
