Canadian manufacturers produced 1.2 billion cigarettes in December, down 36.3% from November 2020. Cigarette production was 2.2% higher compared with December 2019.
The total number of cigarettes sold increased 27.5% from November 2020 to 1.8 billion. Sales were 32.4% higher compared with December 2019.
