Today, Statistics Canada is releasing the public use microdata file for the 2017 Aboriginal Peoples Survey (APS). This file contains data for a wide variety of variables collected from the 2017 APS.
The APS is a national survey on the social and economic conditions of Aboriginal peoples (First Nations people living off reserve, Métis and Inuit) aged 15 years and older. The 2017 APS represents the fifth cycle of the survey and focuses on transferable skills, practical training, use of information technology, knowledge of an Aboriginal language, and participation in the Canadian economy.
