Stocks of frozen poultry meat in cold storage increased 14.6% from August 1, 2017, to 101 840 tonnes on August 1, 2018.
Placements of hatchery chicks on farms increased 4.2% compared with July 2017, to 70.7 million birds in July. Over the same period, placements of turkey poults increased 4.9% to 1.9 million birds.
Continuing its steady growth on a year-over-year basis, egg production rose 4.0% from June 2017 to 67.1 million dozen in June.

Data on stocks of frozen eggs and poultry meats as well as edible dried egg products are available for August 2018. Data on the placements of hatchery chicks and turkey poults are available for July 2018. Data on egg production are available for June 2018.
