The analysis in this paper was mostly completed before a new Statistics Canada recommended standard on STEM definition was developed. The STEM grouping in this report is carried out at the level of primary groupings of CIP (Classification of Instructional Programs) 2000, while the recommended standard was developed using lower levels of CIP 2011. For more information on the Statistics Canada’s recommended STEM groupings.
