In the Provincial and Territorial Tourism Satellite Account, several additions are made to the travel survey data to provide a more complete estimate of tourism demand. This table shows the reconciliation of tourism expenditures from the travel surveys and the Provincial and Territorial Tourism Satellite Account. The reconciliation includes the addition of international passenger fares paid to Canadian carriers, tourism expenditures of residents of Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, pre-trip expenditures, travel services and a demand-to-supply reconciliation adjustment. These are all added to spending from the travel surveys to obtain tourism expenditures in the Provincial and Territorial Tourism Satellite Account.
