Like an iceberg, much of the visible part of the articles in Glance depends on the invisible support of the other two-thirds below the water's surface-or in this case, behind the published article. In the case of Glance, while the articles are attributed to the individual or individuals who authored them, many people involved in preparing the article for publication remain unseen.

First to be thanked are Canadian farmers. The success of the Canadian agricultural statistics program rests upon their continued assistance. Every five years they are called upon to fill out the Census of Agriculture and, in between, many are contacted by our survey program to update the statistics that describe what is happening in the agriculture sector. We appreciate the co-operation of farmers across Canada, and hope that Glance will help give a wide range of Canadians a sense of the challenges and innovations they face and embrace as they produce agricultural products for Canada and the world.

When it comes to producing Glance articles, numerous people are involved. Without the support of the individuals involved Glance would not exist.
