Computers are widely available in schools. The challenge is to find the financial resources to keep both the technology and teachers' skills current.

Paying for higher education

Median expenditures by full-time university students during the 2001-2002 academic year amounted to $11,200; median expenditures for college students were $9,330. Students financed these costs using a combination of working and borrowing from a variety of sources.

Quick fact...

Undergraduate university students will pay an average of $4,172 in tuition fees for the 2004-2005 academic year, up from $4,018 the year before.
