Labour market and income data guide December 2000 Follow-up of 1990 Graduates Description: This survey, conducted in 1995 on behalf of Human Resources Development Canada, provided information on the integration of recent graduates or completers, into the labour force in terms of the correspondance between education or training and occupation. Who/what was surveyed: Graduates from Canadian postsecondary educational institutions who completed the requirements for degrees, diplomas or certificates during calendar year 1990. How the data were collected: Computer-assisted interviews (lists of addresses and telephone numbers of graduates, alumni lists) Geographic detail: Canada, provinces and territories Demographic detail: age, sex, marital status, language spoken at home, mother tongue, dependent children, ethnic origin, place of birth Information collected: Education; Work history (before/during/after graduation); multiple-job holding; field of study; student loans; skills and abilities developped; activities that helped in finding a job; activity limitation; gross income; federal training programs; job information details, labour force status Frequency: One-time only Sample size: 36,276 individuals Reference period: June 1992 to May 1995 Related surveys or data:
