  1. Consumer prices rose 2.4% in the 12 months to December, following the 2.0% increase posted in November. The 0.4 percentage point increase was mainly due to higher gasoline prices. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.3% from November to December.
