Note(s): Marginal effects of the logit estimates on the probability of being laid-off are presented. The estimating equation regresses the binary dependent variable of whether a worker with a paid job in month t-1 was laid-off in month t on workers' demographics, education attainment, job tenure, region, and industry. Sample weights are used to provide estimates for the entire population. Standard errors account for complex survey design (stratification, clustering, and non-response). | ||||||
