English and French among healthcare workers in Quebec, 2001 to 2016
English–French bilingualism has increased among Quebec’s healthcare workers, totalling 53.8% in 2016.
The proportion of healthcare workers who could hold a conversation in French has remained stable since 2001, at over 98%.
Since 2001, Quebec’s healthcare workers have been using English less as their main language of work and more together with French.
