- Articles and reports: 91F0015M2025004Description: This article provides a detailed analysis of the contribution of foreign-born mothers to Canadian births from 1997 to 2024. Trends in the number of and proportion of births to foreign-born mothers are examined, including analysis by the mother's country of origin, age group and mean age at childbearing. International and provincial comparisons are also explored.Release date: 2025-11-13
- Table: 82-570-XGeography: Province or territoryDescription: The Health of Canadians report brings together important health data, both for the population overall and for specific groups, to provide a comprehensive portrait of population health and to shed light on health disparities. It includes key statistics on population health such as health outcomes (e.g., chronic conditions), health behaviours (e.g., exercise, nutrition), access to health care (e.g., unmet health care needs) and determinants of health (e.g., age, income). The Health of Canadians report is meant to be used by our federal, provincial and territorial partners, as well as health professionals, researchers, and policymakers across the country to inform policies and plans, leading to better, more equitable health outcomes for all Canadians.Release date: 2025-03-05
- Journals and periodicals: 91-214-XDescription: This publication presents annual estimates of population for subprovincial areas of Canada, such as census metropolitan areas (CMAs), census agglomerations (CAs), economic regions (ERs) and census divisions (CDs). The following components of population change are also presented: births, deaths, immigration, emigration, returning emigration, net temporary emigration, net non-permanent residents and interprovincial and intraprovincial migration. The estimates are based on the most recent census of population results available at the time of publication, which have been adjusted for census net undercoverage (including adjustment for incompletely enumerated Indian reserves). This publication also contains highlights and an analysis of the most recent demographic trends, as well as a description of the concepts, methods and data quality of the estimates.Release date: 2025-01-16
