    Description: In Canada, the need for suitable and affordable housing has been recognized as critically important by all levels of government. Using data from the 2018 Canadian Housing Survey, this study examines the characteristics of Canadians who lived in subsidized housing in 2018 by gender. It also examines the differences in subsidized housing residents’ experiences, their dwelling satisfaction and the neighbourhood satisfaction, as compared to their counterparts living in non-subsidized rental housing.
