Canadian international trade in services, February 2026
Released: 2026-04-02
Canada's monthly international trade in services balance went from an essentially balanced position in January to a surplus of $0.4 billion in February. Overall, exports of services increased 1.5% to $20.3 billion, and imports of services decreased 0.7% to $19.9 billion.
Exports of commercial services rose 1.1% to $12.1 billion in February, due to increases in both financial services and other commercial services. Transportation services exports and travel services exports also contributed to the monthly increase. Transportation services exports increased 4.7% to reach $2.1 billion, while travel services exports were up 1.3% to $6.0 billion.
Imports of commercial services fell 2.0% in February to $11.5 billion, as financial services decreased. Increases in transportation services (+2.4%) and travel services (+0.4%) dampened the overall decline in imports of services.
