Investment in residential construction for Canada decreased 0.1% compared to October 2020. Newfoundland and Labrador was down 10.9%, Prince Edward Island was up 1.5%, Nova Scotia was up 15.2%, New Brunswick was down 12.5%, Quebec was down 1.1%, Ontario was up 1.2%, Manitoba was down 7.8%, Saskatchewan was down 1.1%, Alberta was up 0.1%, British Columbia was up 0.5%, Yukon was down 10.3%, Northwest Territories was up 1847.8%, total investment for Nunavut was too unreliable to be published.

Total investment for Canada was 10,837.7 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was 136.0 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was 61.3 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was 271.1 million, total investment for New Brunswick was 164.4 million, total investment for Quebec was 2,305.8 million, total investment for Ontario was 4,385.7 million, total investment for Manitoba was 401.9 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was 175.6 million, total investment for Alberta was 1,274.4 million, total investment for British Columbia was 1,640.0 million, total investment for Yukon was 18.7 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was 1.8 million, total investment Nunavut was too unreliable to be published.

Row homes: Market share was 10.0%, total investment totalled $576.5 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 6.5% or $35.1 million.

Condo and rental apartments: Market share was 45.5%, total investment totalled $2,617.5 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 11.2% or $263.0 million.
