This cohort profile describes the linkage of the Canadian Community Health Survey - Nutrition (2004) to the Canadian Vital Statistics - Death Database (2011). Further, the authors demonstrate how these data can be used in terms of potential analysis strategies, and discuss their strengths and limitations-considerations that could apply to any national nutrition survey worldwide.

Less is known about the use of non-prescription medications (alone or in combination with prescription medications) across the frailty spectrum or by sex. This study estimates the prevalence of polypharmacy (total, prescription, non-prescription, and concurrent prescription/non-prescription) overall, and by frailty, sex, and broad age groups.

Our team built a compartmental epidemiological model from an existing code base to project PPE demand under a range of epidemiological scenarios. This model was further enhanced using data science techniques, which allowed for the rapid development and dissemination of model results to inform policy decisions.
