Reconciliation and data confrontation

The STiK estimates are assessed for their quality and plausibility over economic intelligence. Sources of error could potentially introduce themselves during the compilation process, which emphasizes the importance of confronting our results with the source data along each step of methodology. We apply macro adjustments in targeted areas to account for data discrepancies in our source data where there is a confirmed data gap. These data adjustments are done, for example, to correct issues resulting from data discrepancies where revisions have not yet been open for those years at the time of estimating STiK.
