Purpose of this guide

This consultation guide has been developed to assist you in providing feedback for the 2016 Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) and Census Agglomeration (CA) Strategic Review and in contributing ideas and suggestions towards shaping the rules that will define the 2016 CMA/CAs.

To help you prepare your submission, this guide includes:

• an outline of the consultation process;
• questions and suggested discussion points for interested users;
• a description of the current delineation methodology and the changes to the delineation methodology that have occurred over the years.
