Note(s): Includes legally married, common-law, same-sex, separated and divorced
spouses who reported having experienced violence within the 5-year period
preceding the survey. Excludes data from the Northwest Territories, Yukon
and Nunavut. Data for the proportion of males who experienced spousal violence
in Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island not shown as too small
to produce reliable estimates.
