Victims aged 90 years and older are excluded from analyses due to possible instances of miscoding of unknown age within this age category. Excludes spousal victims under the age of 15 years. Excludes a small number of victims in Quebec whose age was unknown but was miscoded as 0. Rates are calculated on the basis of 100,000 population. Populations based on July 1st estimates from Statistics Canada, Demography Division.
