Youth body mass index (BMI)
Note: BMI is calculated from weight and height collected from respondents. In 2005 and 2008 both self-reported and measured methods were used in the Canadian Community Health Survey. Results obtained from comparing these two methods have shown that, for adolescents aged 12 to 17, reported height tends to be overestimated, and reported weight underestimated.
