1. Other: includes private schools and/or home schooling data as provided by the jurisdictions.
2. In 2008/2009, several changes were implemented to the French as a Second Language (FSL) program.  One of the entry points for French Immersion in the public system was changed from Grade 1 to Grade 3.  A new methodology was introduced to replace Core French, and this new program began at Grade 4 instead of Grade 1 with a significant concentration of FSL instruction at Grade 5.
