Data visualization tool on disability rates by age and sex for provinces and territories based on data from the 2017 Canadian Survey on Disability. This interactive tool will visually enhance the information that was released on November 28, 2018 in: "Canadians with disabilities: A demographic, employment and income profile, 2017” and in table 13-10-0374-01 "Persons with and without disabilities aged 15 years and over, by age group and sex, Canada, provinces and territories".
How to use
How to use this interactive visual
This map of Canada and the 2 charts are interactive. Hover over the province or territory within the map to view the disability rate of that geography. Hover over the age groups to see a breakdown by sex. Clicking on a province or territory will alter the bar charts to reflect the numbers for that geography. Similarly, click on an age group or sex to see their corresponding values in the other visuals.
Keyboard shortcuts and screen reader tips
Keyboard shortcuts and screen reader tips are available by entering the visual and pressing CTRL + Enter.
While in the visual, pressing SHIFT + "?" will open the keyboard shortcuts.
When focus is on a visual, the data table can be displayed by pressing ALT + SHIFT + F11.
