March 2012

  1. Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron increased 5.5% in March 2012 to 1,207,267 metric tonnes.
  2. In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products increased 0.3% to 989,166 metric tonnes.
  3. Between February 2012 and March 2012, production of steel pipe and tubing increased 0.9% to 208,511 metric tonnes.
  4. Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products increased 4.8% to 42,722 metric tonnes in March 2012.
