This product contains reference files that define the nested spatial grid system used by the Census of Environment's Statistical Ecosystem Register. The reference grids are available as 11 GeoTIFF files, one for each resolution, as well as a well-known text representation of the projected coordinate reference system (.prj file).

The GeoTIFF files contain only placeholder values of 1 (stored as a compressed unsigned 1-bit integer, to minimize the size of the files). These files can be used as templates for integrating data from multiple sources into a single gridded spatial reference system, thus enabling a common approach for related spatial data products.
