Map B.1 Creating census metropolitan area-ecosystems

Description of Map B.1

The title of this map is Creating census metropolitan area-ecosystems. This map shows how the census metropolitan area-ecosystem (CMA-E) geography was created from Soil Landscapes of Canada polygons.

On this map, white polygons with grey boundaries represent the Soil Landscapes of Canada polygons. Green polygons with grey boundaries represent the Soil Landscapes of Canada polygons that were selected and used to create the CMA-E. The census metropolitan area (CMA) boundary is represented in orange and the CMA-E is represented by a red boundary.

Note: The census metropolitan area (CMA) layer was overlaid onto the Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC) polygons. SLC polygons that intersect or that were contained within the CMA boundary were selected. Selected SLC polygons were extracted to create the CMA-ecosystem (CMA-E) boundary.
