The COVID-19 pandemic could impact the pathways of registered apprentices for years to come

A recent Statistics Canada article suggests that the COVID-19 pandemic may have had an impact on certications in the trades. Preliminary data on registered apprenticeships reveal that certications declined by almost half (-48.7%) over an eight-month periodNote 3 in 2020, compared with the same period in 2019.
