Release date: 2024-06-26 - Table: 12-10-0100-01Geography: Canada, Province or territoryFrequency: AnnualDescription:
The value added in exports database provides data on the exports and imports of industries, as well as on the direct and indirect impact of each industry’s production for exports on industry and on total gross domestic product and jobs. Industry impacts can be viewed from the perspective of their incidence on other industries or from the perspective of an industry’s dependence on other industries. The data rely on the supply and use tables, which provide the basis for the calculations. Beginning with reference year 2013, a provincial and territorial dimension has been added to the measures. Imports embodied in exports have also been expanded to show their United States (US) and non-US origins.

- 191. Terms of trade, GDP and the exchange rate ArchivedArticles and reports: 11-010-X20040036835Geography: CanadaDescription:
This article focus on the reasons for the recent sharp shift in Canada's terms of trade and the distributional effects on the economy, which have already been considerable. The terms of international trade - defined as the ratio of our export prices to import prices - shifted in favour of importers at the expenses of exporters.
Release date: 2004-03-25 - 192. The Performance of Interprovincial and International Exports by Province and Territory Since 1992 ArchivedArticles and reports: 11-621-M2004011Description:
Since 2000, a time when international export markets were weak, Canada's provincial and territorial economies have increased their reliance on interprovincial exports as a key source of economic growth. This is a marked contrast to the 1992 to 2000 period when international sales grew at a rapid rate and outpaced the gains in interprovincial exports. This article examines the performance of international and interprovincial exports for the Canadian provinces and territories during the last decade with a focus on the more recent period (2000 to 2002).

- Surveys and statistical programs – Documentation: 13-604-M1990006Description:
Gross domestic product (GDP) is a key measure in the System of National Accounts, as well as an indispensable tool for economic analysis.
