- Table: 32-26-0005Description: The Open Database of Greenhouses (ODG) is a collection of digitized greenhouses and their locations across Canada and is made available under the Open Government Licence - Canada. The ODG is a derivative product of open data that leverages high and medium resolution earth observation imagery available from various sources, such as open data portals, partnerships, and agreements, which are controlled by municipal or provincial governments or were provided by companies that hold an existing National Standing Offer with the Federal Government, or International Space Agencies. This project uses leading-edge methods, data integration and advanced technologies in an effort to reduce the response burden on agricultural operators. As part of these efforts, the ODG is used as a tool for new technologies created to automate the collection of greenhouse data across Canada.Release date: 2023-02-02

It focuses on the change in built-up area, arable land and natural and semi-natural land in and around CMAs from 1971 to 2011. The report includes CMA-specific geographical profiles that include tables, charts and maps as well as links to a wealth of other relevant information.
The June 2016 update includes the addition of spatial data files (ArcGIS®, file extension: .shp) for each CMA that can be downloaded from the HTML version of the publication.

It shows flooding along the St. John river in the Oromocto region of the province. Within this image the Remote Sensing & Geospatial Analysis unit (RSGA) determined that as of May 4, 2008, there were approximately 8,500 hectares of agricultural land under water.Release date: 2008-06-02

The first survey of innovation, advanced technologies and practices in the Canadian construction sector was recently conducted. Of the five types of technologies listed in the survey, communications technologies have the highest percentage of use (46% of businesses). Of all the techonolgies, three computer-related technologies had the highest percentage of use : e-mail (38%), company computer networks (25%) and computer aided design (23%). The three advanced practices with the largest percentage of business using them, each with one third of businesses, are: design-build contracts, computerized inventory control and computerized estimating software.
